Green, Green the Grass is Lime Green

Sometimes you just have to do lime- green grass, its necessary, you must express yourself, free yourself from the bonds of convention, take the leap, and land on the other side of the hill, where the grass is lime-greener still. Click to explore the microcosm of the watercolour world.

It looks like the grass is trying to swallow it up for sustenance. It's cool to see that juxtaposition of something so vibrant with something so dead. It's like the radial tire of life...

Thanks, Madison. I realize that by posting the same subject endlessly it does make it hard to come up with something to say. Thats why I appreciate the comments so much because it would be easy to say, "Gawd another car, what do I say about that? Doesn't this idiot paint anything but cars?

I really like the grass. Looks like your shoes would be soaking wet after running thru that grass. The color of the car is perfect. and to top it off i even love the windows :D (I think I'm in a good mood today)

Nice work on the car. It's nicely subdued colors really appear subdued compared to the bright grass.

Ron Morrison said...

Thanks, Michelle, its clearly a case of subduction, subduement?... neon green grass, key lime..

I like the teal weathered metal. The lime green is hookers on my monitor.. have to adjust later. Speaking of hookers.. gotta remember where I left my new shoes.

Thanks, W.K. its kinda bright whatever it is.

I swear these cars can speak. If they could speak, I would imagine they would ask for a sip of whiskey and garble some old tale of wisdom.
great stuff.
be good,

They all work for me and I'm inspired to get out some old truck sketches I have (somewhere) and paint 'em.
Your work rocks.
