55 Dead or Alive?

This chap was taken out of a magazine and rustified in an unabashed attempt to pander to the unquenchable thirst for mid fifties Chevrolets. Blast from the past, bink to blow up.

Leaning House

This bit of silliness is a house, a Hallmark Abandoned house, don't say anything serious about it. I painted it when I was younger than I am now. Don't bother blowing it up unless you can.

Took the Kids to School

Last worked in 1960, gone now, vaporized into eternity. Like everything ever spoken, it exists somewhere other than here. Okay, never mind the baloney, lookitup by binking.

Landlocked

This specimen of "sailing in the grass" was once and still is a fishboat. Blow it up.

Abandoned

These three live together down on the beach. I thought they made a good set so they were not separated when they were adopted. Bink for further inspection.

Fly Opener 2

If you go fishing for beers you will need this. Sometimes I get bored. Bink to blow....up.

Reserved Parking

This is another from a private collection ( a truly wonderful collection). I haven't seen it in a long time so its fun for me.
Magnify for elucidation.

Pick the Pickup

I like old pickups. I like to paint'em. It really doesn't take much to amuse me. For a glimpse of the hidden world of the watercolour microcosm and also to see the painting bigger- bink away!

You Pick'em I Won't Argue

This thirty eight chev was found and re-employed in my personal picture business. I said "Old Timer, You'll be big in my pictures." Bink and all will be revealed.

Go Ahead We'll Catch Up

Hudson and Nash, found together in a junkyard in 1977, stayed together in my paintings, have appeared in the bigger pictures at least a dozen times. Look closer, many things will be revealed.

Beached

This is a sketch for the larger painting that I did a while ago- I'm going to revisit this theme and develop it a bit. Bink to explore hidden worlds of pigment minutia (sp?)

Jackson's Barn Fresh

This bit of fun is a sketch for a commission I did. I like the cartoonish quality of the thing. I would have liked to have done cartoons in the old days. Bink for enlightenment.

Scarface

This feller was declining down the road a piece until he was pictorially revived. Inspect at your leisure with a bink.

55 Chev at Rest

Quicky 55 to see if I can do these in less than 2 hours and sell them for $100. Bink. Come on people, its not that crappy is it? A sympathy comment or two?

Alone on the Prairie

You picke'em. Portraits of a survivor. This was one of the first cars I ever painted. He was in a pile, which was dismantled and the cars were put up for auction. No one bought anything, they were scrapped, and the owner was vilified for years as the guy who killed all the beautiful old cars. Examine closely by binking.

Old Favourite

These are old sletches I did of one of my favourite cars. I found this late forties Chev in the interior of B.C. thirty years ago. When I went back to visit a coupla years ago it was a trailer park. Bink for a closer inspection.

Green, Green the Grass is Lime Green

Sometimes you just have to do lime- green grass, its necessary, you must express yourself, free yourself from the bonds of convention, take the leap, and land on the other side of the hill, where the grass is lime-greener still. Click to explore the microcosm of the watercolour world.

Still Standing

This is one of my favourite shapes, its a coupe and I owned one a long time ago. Of course I wish I had it now. This characters has appeared in a few paintings. Elasticize the molecular structure with a click.
