Building a Painting

This is what I like to do-create a scene that doesn't exist. Work the picture from a series of sketches into the big scene. I have no idea how it will end up. It just evolves . The big painting is 16 inches by 40 inches.

From Two to Five

These are older paintings-I post them to show how a small portrait became a bigger painting. The first two were in the middle of a junkyard in 1978. I eliminated the surrounding cars and carried on from there.
