I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

We sold one of these a few years ago, almost the same color. It had great bucket seats which rotated out toward the curb for ease of entry.
Like the loose quality... I was wondering if you were taking off in a new direction... then i read "sketch." I think it's a good idea to post some sketches... think I may try it.

For the record - I was quite pleased with these unromanticised portraits in that they conveyed what rusty abandoned cars actually look like.
