Pile Of Chevs

This is another one that the new viewers and commenters may not have seen. I would also like to have it on the DPs. Its Chevs from 1949 to 61. This looks better if you blow it up.

Seems like that middle chevy is trying to steal the spotlight, but the others aren't so quick to let it happen!

I like this composition. It's a 9 patch quilt of chevys. Like the bright colors too.

Thanks, Grimm, they are characters in a set piece.

This is one of the few times that I have used "popular" models in a shameless attempt to satisfy commercial demand.

Nice. I remember this one from a while ago. Your color palate has changed dramatically since Junkyard No. 2

Hi, Michelle, I can do more things with colour now so I guess I get/use different palettes from painting to painting. Thanks. Same palette used differently?

Ron a splendid collection of colorful characters. Your arrangement reflects the passion.. might I say love affair with the subject. In my case I am fascinated with dispossessed people thrown away by pretty folk and you seem to have a thing for forgotten homeless cars.. now that's a hoot and a half!

These were perfectly restored cars before I got a holt of'em. I took them out of a Classic Car mag- to get the shapes. Then I piled em up and aged them. I think they are far more interesting to paint di-stressed. Avec la patina.

Fantastic! Ironically I have been looking for a landscape scene I have in my head and so I took a half dozen magazine spreads with photo's from the area I'm wanting to paint and "Pieced" together my own hillside.

This painting of yours has a lot of life dispite being full of deserted cars.

Its all shapes and colours. Thanks, Cara.

It seems that rust goes well with any color. If only my oxidized life were so colorful. Oh, I've got an alternate title for you -- Pile of Color with a Rust Patina. It's the artsy-fartsy titles that always put 'em over the top.

Thanks, Tom. Feeling a little rusty? I hope you can iron out the problem.
