Kreremeos 1970

Remember if it looks like a truck it probably is. On the other hand, five fingers. Exploded view may result in illumination, then again...

The sunny side looks dusty. I don't know if that's intended, but it looks rally cool.
I totally agree about the b/w thing. It strips a picture naked so you can see every pock mark and wrinkle right along with the smoother contours.

Thanks Grimm, if it looks good then I did it on purpose.

Thanks Madison, that I'm cute and smart? Not old and dopey like my wife says.

You must spend a lot of time finding old trucks and cars, or do you recycle the same ones in different settings? Great job on this.

Ron Morrison said...

Thanks Joan, I do the cars as individuals and then I put them in bigger pictures. But lots of doing the same thing, drawings and characters, over and over...I have lots of reference material but I make up the majority of my paintings.

Beautiful work. I've never worked in watercolor but it seems like a really challenging medium. Looks like you've mastered it.

Thanks Brendy, I've got a little bit of an idea, but I'm just starting to really learn.

I love the rosie blushes on the hood.

Thanks Michele, "rosie blushes" one of my favourite watercolour effects!

Beauty Ron... the orange blends into the truck very nicely (lost edges). A cheerful piece.
