I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Love it, I never tire of looking at your work, your subject is the same but yet each painting is clearly different.
Thanks, Krista, I should stop playing around and get serious but its too much fun....
It's very cool,Ron...
Thanks, Nureeya, I was after the "fun"look...some stylized cool...
Hi Ron,
wow this last one looks crisper than the first but my fav is the first because of your fantastic stroke...
Ron - I love how the different colors make the same basic sketch look and feel so different. Both of these are great!
That top one really grabs me...maybe the rust in the car doors? I don't know, but I like it!
Ron-You are really adept at using the colours! You made all three paintings are interesting with different colours, Superb!!!
Love the creepy dead tree, perfect touch to the illumination!

jan:)
Thanks, Jan, "Amazing" is good...
Wow
What a set of paintings, Ron.
Your works have a surreal tone of light to them. When I look at them, I think I am looking at a moonlit scene. But yet......but yet...when I blink twice, I think its daylight.........then I find myself wondering if it is that earie, time of light after or during a lightning storm. This is absolute whizardry with light, man.
What you do, takes my breath away.
Win
Thanks, Win, its fun to play and explore with no pressure...
Ron - This is an eerie group!!! I feel like I should be on the lookout for bats. lol Love them!!! Your paintings always have such a great feeling to them!

Wow, Ron! That first one has a whole lot of atmosphere going on. I really love it! They're all wonderful but that one stands out to me.
wicked tree branches. I like how the car seems like it must feel smushed in there.
