I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Nice painting. I love your use of colour and the story each painting seems to tell.
Looks like this car is the star of this one...isn't he lonely? Super color and richness!!
Is it a car or a truck? It's neat whichever it is. How about doing one with snow on it. We have lots of it here.
Ron--I love the way you led my eyes and viewers from the car toward the house in this painting; you have a technical using colours very well!!!!
Hat Off!!!!
Thanks, Bonnie, yes, I think of them as narrative paintings...
Thanks, Joan, he might be...
Thanks, Kathy, its a truck...snow you say? Hmmm...
Thanks, Nureeya, just seeing if the compo has possibilities...
You bave a lighter touch in this one Ron than I have seen in many of your works. I like the way you divided the foreground hands. It makes me thing of hands separated at the wrist with something being held in the palms.
Thanks, Win, this is on slippery paper and I painted it on an easel so it has that lighter touch/feel to it...
