Shady Rest Estates

Under the Influence of the Ol'Alvaro

There is so much fuss about the big two in the cyber-waterworld that a person (namely me) can't help but be influenced. I like Castagnet's ideas about deep, rich colour. But I also like some of the traditional breeziness that is possible with watercolour. Who knows? This is a full sheet of Arches cold press and W/N paints. Oh and I painted this with some kind of synthetic no. 36 brush that is huge...

I just popped in for a little "Ron fix" while I am traveling in Venice. Hope to have more time when I get back to see what you've been doing! Ciao!!

Ron,I Just love the various of colours that you combined to this painting...To me, they give a pretty feel...You have very talent about colours...As for me, I would not be brave to use the colours in this way
becuase i would do it be muddy:(

Brilliant as usual Ron. Am impressed with the size of this one. I wish it was as simple as you make it to be.

Thanks, Nureeya, its funny but as you paint more you can get away with mixing all sorts of "mudders"...
