I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

I like its simplicty. Your understatement amplifies the power of your subject here. Colours become bolder, your visual focus becomes clearer and your punch becomes more forceful.
I like it for you seem to have been wrestling lately with subject overkill.
You have reset your personal artistic scales with this work and it may well mark you emergence into a new phase of painting.

You make these cars look so beautiful. Thtas what I like to do with my art too. Take something ordinary and turn it into something inspiring. I like the way you apply your own color schemes to the cars. It's very creative! I'll be back to see more!
