Darker, grittier...more junkyardish. Broken glass, busted metal, rusty junk. Complementary darks, saved whites...watercolour playing under the conductors guidance. A sense of mystery, the unknowable, the fun of arbitrary colour...a set piece somehow alive with flapping decay...

Wow ... I binked, and it IS darker and grittier!! Love it, Ron.
Thanks, Kathryn, I think its also a more balanced composition...these sketches take a while to evolve...
Love the darker look! The way the left bottom corner is left ambiguous, I really love. My brain is making it a dark river that the cars will eventually be absorbed by!
Thanks, Pat, they will be sucked into the vortex...or recycled.
LOVE those colors!!! and love the darker look to this gorgeous painting!!
Thanks, Hilda...dark is fun, atmospheric.
Yep - I like the darker one better. But as always - they are both beautiful -
Thanks, Cara...Happy New Year!
You're back! Did you get lost under one of your wonderful piles of cars??? Happy New Year!
