I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Love the work, Ron. What great color!
Your watercolors are exquisite!
Great job. Love the sharp tail fin! Colors dazzling as usual.
Great composition and color variety. Love it!
Thanks all! Will reply on your sites.
I see "American Gothic" in the background. Good use of American icons.
You're right and so smart! However it was not dee-liberate -I must have been receiving signals from some subliminal source, cause I just faked it. Rats-I reeelly wanted to be brilliant.
Great work, you are constantly inspiring me. Your use of color leaves me in awe, Great piece...
Thanks Travis, its the wonder of the thing that will carry you through. Passion and determination. A thick skin and tolerance of failure are also useful. I always believed that an artist was a fine thing to be. In theory, anyway. I give up painting 2 or 3 times a year, but I think I'm addicted. Painting cars is quite silly- but thats part of the fun. I figure if I can get people to give me dough occasionally for something they don't really need, then I've accompliished something.
