57 Chev in Merville

Actually, I made this up. The fun for me is to create scenes that exist only in my mind-when I start I have no idea what the scene will be. They evolve, sometimes big pictures from smaller. I am not an interpreter-I am a fabricator and I just enjoy painting the cars. Posted by Picasa

I see "American Gothic" in the background. Good use of American icons.

You're right and so smart! However it was not dee-liberate -I must have been receiving signals from some subliminal source, cause I just faked it. Rats-I reeelly wanted to be brilliant.

Thanks Travis, its the wonder of the thing that will carry you through. Passion and determination. A thick skin and tolerance of failure are also useful. I always believed that an artist was a fine thing to be. In theory, anyway. I give up painting 2 or 3 times a year, but I think I'm addicted. Painting cars is quite silly- but thats part of the fun. I figure if I can get people to give me dough occasionally for something they don't really need, then I've accompliished something.
