I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

I like the narrow vertical viepoint of the picture. Also I like the feeling of isolation without being lonely or sad. Almost like waiting for the big picture at the drive in that has long been closed.

Ooohhh, so dark and mysterious. If this car were an actor who would he be? A young and evil Frank Langela I think.
Thanks for the visit- I like to paint them subdued a little bit sometimes, with a limited palette. I like the idea of a mysterious quality-thank you.
