I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Gorgeous. I just love your paintings.
just found your blog...love your treatment of the old cars!
Thank you both- I will visit your blogs.
Great '58. My husband & I owned a junkyard for years & I never tire of seeing old cars with a potential for resurrection. In fact, I wrote my thesis on something to that effect. Your watercolors are so fresh!
Owned a junkyard!? Just the thought gets me unglued with pure envy. I think sometimes that it is pretty silly painting these things and I should get onto other subjects, but I love painting them. I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't have pursued painting without having a favourite subject to keep me interested. I especially enjoy putting together the ensemble pieces. Thanks for the visit.
Absolutely awesome painting!
Thank you, Shanti and Nina.
