I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Ron I like the texture you applied to the fender and other parts of the body. Nice transition of smoother metal with the corroded. Color harmonies working once again. I like the mellow glow - one of your mellow glow series. I'm groov'n on it..
like the ant's eye view too.. just noticed. Adds to the sense of drama and overall impact.
Thanks,W.K.,
Up to my usual antics?
The way the rust looks like it's running down is really good. I like the bug's eye view, too.
Do you ever take a painting break? I'd love to be that prolific of a painter.
I thought if I painted lots I'd get good, alright so that didn't work now I'm taking the Bob Ross correspondence course. Bob was a cultural icon.
Sorry, Michelle, I went off(on a tangent). Thank you, I haven't painted today - I'm a little rusty.
You're punny, Ron.
As long as you spell that with two n's.-did you read Michele's article?
Hey Ron, you're famous! :-) I just went and read the article on MicheLe's website. It is good. The evolution of a RON MORRISON painting. Kewl!
Have you ever thought about posting the progression of one of your paintings on your blog? That would be interesting to your fans.
Michelle, I think that is the EBSQ site and the article is in their cyber "ZINE". Its a sales site for artists, with feature articles. Its not Michele's site. If you poke around in there you will find all sorts of things.
I did and nobody paid any attention- no thats not true one person did. She was quite nice about the whole thing. I think she said, "Thats nice dearie, but have you ever thought about doing something nice that I could put in my bridge room that the ladies would like? Your paintings are so depressing."I said,"Depressing?"
Thanks, Michelle, for reading it and it would be fun to show the evolution.
Really like the way you excuted the right rear fender. It's very effective and overall look of faded color is very nice.
Thanks, Kee, it is fun to do the rust. Did you read Michele's article?
