I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Beautiful colors Ron.
Love the way you treated Mountain and how it gets infuse into the sky. It's great!
Thanks, Kee. It was just a little fun.
I can tell you had fun.. you have your vegetables first? Good figure work.. loose and yet solid forms. You remember those old Hamms commercials...? oh yeah forgot you are north of Hamms country. For a laugh download one of their classic commercials.. a hoot! Good job --
Good job on the fabric of the hat and coat.
The look on his face is saying this ones a keeper.
Thanks, W.K., I have very little patience with jacket sleeve folds etc and since I made the pose up, its goofy. The idea is that he has caught the beer with a can opener fly and now he's releasing it. Its part of a story board.
Thanks, Robin, its just a dopey sketch meant to amuse.
I don't think it's a dopey sketch, it's a super watercolor that tells a really cool story. Let's see more of these!
Thanks, Michele, I'm a little bit dopey in real life so some of it gets into the paintings-my whole idea is that painting should provide some relief from the weight of everyday life.
