I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Now you are a speedy Gonzalez too?
Cut it out. You could do a street corner routine with this talent and clean up on a sunny day. whew!
This one will evolve, Michele-it's just an idea.
A banquet of colors sir! Love this really vintage iron. What kind of paper you use.. curious to know what you're using these days.
Thanks W.K., here's the skinny-for years I painted small watercolours, half sheets or less. Then a lot of full sheet work and some oversize-which I love to do. The ones I do now for the D.Ps are just doodles most of the time or earlier work. Its buggered up my whole approach in that bigger paintings are what sells for me. So I've made it a bit of an exercise (challenge) to use the wrong side of the paper, the back of the already painted sheet. The back side of Arches 140 cold pressed is an unco-operative crappy thing to paint on. I'm just collecting ideas and using different styles. People say I'm going in different directions but I'm really just revisiting different ways I can paint. When we are painting so quickly I lose sight of what the overall direction is for me and sometimes the DP numbers distract me. Although I'm used to the lower ratings now-the earlier posts seem to get attention after the fact. I'm just trying to do better what I can already do and I'm using whatever is at hand. I don't think arches 140 is particularly wonderful paper but I've used it for thirty years along with Winsor Newton paint.I use cheap brushes because I wreck good ones.
Great piece Ron.. Colors!!
Thanks, Kee, I wasn't so sure.
