I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

What rut? I had not noticed any rusty ruts in your paintings, this guy looks extremely cheerful to me.

Thank you for stopping by, DD/s.
Ron this one speaks to me.. I hear the rusty jaws laboring its vowels and consonants into a symphony - a Hank Williams Jr. beer song - a Jim Nabors deer song. The green on green is nicely done without one obliterating the other.. then balanced with a nice warm base of grass. Car drawing as usual solid and compelling.
He (or She) looks as though snoreting with mouth open. This one have a great character.
When the cars talk, W.K. then I have accomplished something, thanks. I'm a car ventrilliquist!
From now on my alter ego is the poet Milford Acornes who may dabble in W/C from time to time. Its your fault...Thanks!
Yes, Kee you have it, snoreting with mouth open, your comments brighten my day.
now I'm bummed
Relax, Michele your antenna were adjusted to the wrong frequency. You should be happy-everything is good.
You might be right I hope so. No sleep will do that...to anybody. ok, where's the java?
Who's rutting now... Milford?
I used to rut in the spring,
Now I'm in the rut,
Thats the thing.
But I will rise again,
So to speak
I'll be fine by Tuesday
Of next week.

I'm actually fine, for those of you who may be concerned. I thought the rut concept was mildly amusing. Anybody who paints cars for thirty years has got to be in a rut.
Rut on Rajah Acornes!
