I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Ron, isn't this grass unnaturally bright?
Define "unnaturally".
Gaudy,trashy,highway marker paint garish,...
Lookit I warned you about being a turd on my blog.
Kewl! Looks like it's about to crash right on out of the painting.
R U feelin' ok, Ron? Commenting to urself is the last stop on the way to crazyville.
Cripes, I passed the last stop a long time ago. All aboard to Crazyville. Did you read the debut poem by the internationally unknown Canadian poet, Milford Acornes, on the previous post?
Milford - braVO! and yes I saw the poem.. I want you to take it to the local coffee house and read it out loud at 3:00 A.M. I'll have my acorne antenae all tuned and ready. Synchronize NOW! - Ok.. now you got the green on green action going again. You're taking it to 10 on the green-ometer - and pulled it off .. boat nicely done sir... avast!
Oh yeah .. riding on the orange flame is cool (hot?) too. Rock on Milford!
Goin' with the flow again I see. Making us all click on the image and wondering, "NOW what has Ron painted???"
You always make us smile. :o)
Thanks, B.J., the important thing is that you are amused.
The boat looks like its slicing through hot water and creating a wave. It could almost be a commentary on my life lately. Love it!
PS. Green is my favorite color.
Thanks, Cara, apparently I've gone green! If you look back in the posts my inclination to green was obvious to everybody but me. I know artists who won't use green (mixed or not) in their paintings-I always figured green was essentially magical. I always mix green -never use tube green except to mix brown.
Could we say electic instead of gaudy or am I being too politically correct? I like it, but then again, I was never normal.
Thanks, Michele, Who's normal?
Hi Ron, looks brilliant, literally , and lots of new great new posts. Lame comment as usual, I know I must drive you crazy, but I don't have the energy to think with the keyboard at the moment.
You know what Clive? It makes me fockin happy when you say Hi and I don't give a shit if you don't write an essay. This is the first and last time I will use baad words. (maybe not)
I agree with Cara. The boat is making a right turn in fairly fast speed it seems. It's kind of cool.
Thanks,Kee, its the last run of the ghost boat thats not going anywhere except back to earth.
Cara, I just got the waves and hot water reference-something we should know about?
