Black Creek Dodge

This old Dodge sits in an old gas station surrounded by junk. The gas station is ten minutes away from where I live on Vancouver Island .

This is nice and a nice change. I like the stronger pallette and the sparkling light twinkles coming from the background trees. I see a new direction for you in my crystal ball.

Ron - This one is really nice. I especially like the way you have the sun shining through the trees in the background.

Thanks, Michele, I painted this yesterday but I never really know what will come out.

Thanks, Michelle, I think one of the reasons I like wawacolours so much is that there are so many ways to paint with them.

I always like the way you draw in the viewer to the center of interest. I was grooving on the foreground junk and whammo.. I'm at the car.. then on to the trees... great arrangement!

An interesting contrast to the previous post. There is a quiet dignity of the old car against the sparkling trees. Nice one, keep painting. Black Creek is one one my favorite places.

Thanks,W.K., this is the back side of the previous post. One thing I have really made progress on this winter is my art card/small print catalogue.

Thanks, Dorothy. I painted these one after the other. I at first thought the first one was a gaudy discordant thing but it actually has some good painting in it I think.

Nice hazy effects on black car and lights coming through tree leaves.
Really nice use of orange in the foreground.
