I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Ron this one has a cool zen simplicity to it.. and I like the high key value scheme. I could see this printed on cloth almost like a batik print.. hmm.. maybe it's just late .. but I really dig it!
Is this the sound of one hand clapping?
Simplified design... Very effective. Nice Ron.
Its very eighties, man!
Thanks W.K., I think it is interesting to see old work.
Thanks, Kee.
sound of one hand clapping for sure. I love the oldies and this one is cool, the colors, the simple shapes, especially the lemon sliced thinly where the engine should be. Would be great on poster or fabric agreed.
Thanks,Michele. I don't understand the one hand clapping allusion.
That's zen for you!
1980?! I think I was still using crayons then. :-) tee hee.
Nice, bright lighting. Same goes for the salmon colored car posted above this one. (oops! there I go using crayon color names.)
Careful youngster-the fact that I am this old is a big surprise to me too-but I'm not very mature either.
My favorite so far
Thaanks, I think, it is a small sketch I did in 1980 (approx).
