Greetings to great Canadian painter of old rusty thinks. Better than soup cans almost, except when hungry. Your paintings make me want to have new car.

Thanks, Igor, say hello to Cousin It.

I like the one to the right. It still has the cover! :P I like the way you show the shape in it too.

I forgot to tell you, I thought of your paintings everytime I saw an old abandoned car in the country, and there were plenty of 'em. Wondered hoe you'd paint 'em...

Thanks N.N., did you take any pics you could send?

Ron - you already know how much I love green so its not a surprise that I love this one.

Did you notice rusticated rhymes with medicated? Ha!

Ron Morrison said...

Thanks, Cara, I didn't realize how dominant green is in my paintings until I started posting on the DPs, apparently I've gone green.

Sorry, I didn't want to get shot or ran over. :(

Yikes!

The structural stillness of the cars seems to extend up to the house, as well. It looks solid, but long devoid of life.

Its a barn and the cars are all the same because this was a pre- study for a commission from a guy who owned a 37. When you have an old wreck that you have dug out of somewhere and you want to sell it the descriptive phrase is "barn fresh". Thanks, Grimm.

Excellent - so much green .. so much good technique! Love the blur on the trees. But there is no hoar on the leaves! For me this one stacks up above the rest in the last few weeks... quite a good one mr.

green, green the world is green reminds me of a song. This painting is deep. I don't have fancy words, I only know it's deep. A baritone green wonder. luvit

Green, green, the grass is green on the far side of the hill,
Green, green, I'm going to where the grass is greener still.
