I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

It looks as though sun is beating down on the roof of this old rusted car on hazy day. I can almost feel and smell that rust.
Fantastic piece Ron!
I like the transition from warm foreground to cool background. The drawing on the car is really solid without being too tight. I feel the slight breeze on this warm summer morning. Well maybe spring or fall....
Thanks, Kee, I never would have painted at all if I hadn't liked the old tin so much.
Thanks, W.K., I feel I may almost be ready to actually paint after thirty years.
The light of the hazy day sun is excellent. Rust looks great, too.
Just gorgeous with intense light just broiling with heat and in contrast with those darks of the wheels and little dancing dark echos on the windows. Definitely a high point in your portfolio. I also love the solo image, much food for thought in this one.
Thanks Michelle, I'm glad you like it.
Thanks Michele, did you see yesterday's post? The hummingboid?
This one looks like a winner Ron. I like the sky coming down behind the car and the simplified grass looks good.
Thanks, Dorothy.
