Vote Early Vote Often

I have to actually work and take care of business and contrary to the silly idea on Daily Painters of producing more art and driving the prices so low that you will not recover the price of materials, I am going to paint less. Blogging is fun but DPs will be out. Vote for your favourite and a little flattery would be nice. Blow me, er up!

Okay - it's 10am over here and I'm voting for the very first one on top of your text.. Its bright and "high"..key that is.

As for the praise and adoration -

WOW - You are really something! I love your work, you're a master at what you do. How you manage especially with that drunken uncle hanging around is beyond belief.

(Had enough yet?)

I go for the 3rd one up. At first I thought it was all the same drawing painted differently. but it isn't is it?

No, its never enough, but thanks anyway, Cara.

It is Michele. Thanks.

I like the paint jobs on the top one best ;)

The obvious choice is #2. No one wants to say it because of the bad connotation saying #2 has.

Again, for me it's your use of whites but it's also the balance of light and dark masses that makes it a little more appealing. Once I make your pictures larger it makes choosing harder though. Then I'm more taken by your painting skill. In thumbnail form it's easier to concentrate on the abstracts.

Thanks, N.N. I'm scrutinizing for voting irregularities, apparently there was some stuffing of the ballot box during the last selection.

I put the paintings up to show "process" and also to put a little substance in the blog. It is interesting to hear/read what people have to say and great fun because the responses are usually not what I would have predicted.

Thanks,Tom, the comment above was the response to yours but I forgot the salutation.

My vote is for the top one. I like the color palette and contrast of that one. The second from the top - the background is nice. They're all good, though.

Ron Morrison said...

Thanks, Michelle, its fun to put them up and see what everybody thinks. Its also amusing that my opinions about my own paintings are different. I'm going to do this maybe one or two more times and then I'm going to write about my idea of what I try to do with my paintings.

I have an idea about what you should try...garbage pickup is Friday, try not to miss it, hop in.

You're not my real uncle.

Hey hey, you tell that "uncle" to be nice!

3rd down for me. Red door in the grass does it for me. I like the color harmony bouncing between the cars.. nice visual adventure. You've been busy again...

He's a figment, I'll deal with him once my meds are properly adjusted.

Thanks for voting W.K., the results will be published in the Potboilers Almanac Fall issue.

I gotta say I like the top one best, although once again you've given us a hard choice to make. Keep 'em coming.

Thanks, B.J. Its fun to see/read what the responses are.

Can I go ahead and cast 47 extra votes for the top painting or do I have to log in 47 seperate times? (I want to win - ha)

Oh Oh! There's a prize? Nobody told me, what is it? There was a little trouble last time the word prize came up.

Cara said...

No, no prize - just the satisfaction of picking a winner.
