Exercising- Vote For Favourite

The way that I think works best for me is to work out a composition and then pound it, paint it paint it paint it until I can paint it no more. Having established the compo I can explore different aspects of my palette, textures etc. I'm free to paint and of course I'm never satisfied but its my way of practicing the craft. Bink to blow and then vote.

I'm torn between the top two. The very top draws my eye to the house--the colors seem to be catchy. But then like Cara, the dark clouds grab at me too. I think I'd have to succumb to the artistic molestation and vote for the dark clouds.

And the Dark Clouds are ahead 2 to 1.

I don't like any of them.

I like the second from the top with the dark, brooding clouds. It has an air of expectancy and mystery. Rain storm coming? Clearing weather? Nightfall? Halloween?

Irregularities in the voting process?

I choose #4 and I think that I have a reason. It's the white at top. I like when you use white, leave white that is. It balances out the richer colors.

Ron Morrison said...

Thanks, Tom, its fun to hear the reasons for a choice.
