I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Good 'un Ron. Can't see the rust on this though.. You preparing the way for your 54th year artist retrospective show?... btw how's the fish up there - better than Seattle's... forget the fish .. how's the women?! They got to better than Seattle's.. Sorry Seattle... just kidding - hee
No.
Good.
Better.
Truth-
No more shows-I'm serious.
No more fish.
No more women, got one already thats enough.
Still early in the game... for the fish and show I mean..
Nice against very simplyfied background setting.
Thanks Kee, I thought it had an abstract quality that was fun. Its just a sketch, my form of life-drawing.
Ooohhh this is gorgeous. These colors are very unusual for this subject matter. I think they really work!
Thanks, Michele, I think of the cars as shapes and colors and this thing is wacky bright but I thought it was fun.
Scrolling down your page, it stands out. Maybe not the best painted, but certainly the most unique.
