I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Hey Ron, on a whim SL and I went to see the CVAG's showing of the movie 'Manufactured Landscapes' about Edward Bertinski's photography, of vaste industrial and manmade landscapes. Amazing movie, and photography, which I've seen the odd time, but I wish I had had the presence of mind to give you a shout, as it seems somewhat relevant to your work, enough that you'd probably find the movie interesting. Oh well, hope all's well, I liked the bus when you showed it in Cucumberland this summer.
REO buswagon... nice piece of work Ron. In L.A. they still have the old round edge buses from days of yore. I like the groovy colors man and I think the bus got a very dignified burial!
Clive, how are things in Cucumberland?
Thanks, W.K.
Nice one Ron. I've been thinking of doing a school bus since I drove one for three years.
Thanks, Louis.
Nice bus, chug chug I think I can, I think I can. Love the soft round shapes and Naples-yellow look.
Thanks. Michele. Naples yellow is a watercolourists friend.
