Kewl! Great technique on the wet in wet in the background.

Why thank you, Michele. The glazes on the car are tricky.

I'm reading a beginner's book on composition... I like this compostition with the car filling the whole space... You using the golden mean?

The lines in the car echo the lines in the building, or is it visa versa. I like the way you've filled it all up.

I am aware of such compositional principals but any adherence on my part is accidental.

Thanks, Michele, building echoes car.

Ron,
this work, for me, conjuring up some feelings.
Feels like I just drove that car to some remote cabin for the weekend trip. Nice job.

Thanks, Kee, that is one of the reasons I paint these things is that they are resonant. People usually have some association with the subject matter. The whole thing is supposed to be fun.

Michelle, I had a 1970 Camaro Rally Sport split bumper 350 in 1974.

Ya, This one works well for me too Ron. All of the above, bigger barn behind the excellent old Impala, fill the whole space, cool tree line in the background, Nice!

A split bumper Rally Sport? SWEET!!

Ron Morrison said...

Thanks, Robin.

Yes Michelle, but the thirty-seven chevy coupe was fun too.

You like Deadwood? Bitch it's going to be over in the next season. Now that's important! Which character you resemble? I call Al!
