I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Working my way back.. This must be part of the same series... and a fine series it is. This one has the feel of some American artists from back in the 30s and 40s WPA people. WPA work is some of my favorite 20th century stuff. Excellent!
Thanks- I'm glad you saw these, the blog format sometimes limits the presentation a little. In real life I think you would like the newer bigger paintings. I studied fine art at university so I am generally familiar with your references. Some of it is fading-I will get my books out. WPA murals? I'm a little bitter about the whole "art" thing. However I can paint a little with watercolours. The painting I did of my buddy is at least 8 years old-I'm a better painter now.
I shudda said "art business". But thats not all of it.
