The Gathering

I painted this in 1980 and I'm putting it up again so that it becomes part of my "gallery" on the Daily Painters. I think that the gallery is a fine thing. I kept this painting over the years as a "core piece". It took me ten days to paint with a 000 brush. Click to blow up.

The Boatyard (Reduced Version)

I had fun with this composition, it is the simplified version of a larger painting. I live by the beach on Vancouver Island and this is what I imagined it looked like maybe in the early sixties. Mind you, there are still places like this, today on the island. The boat in front, which has appeared before on my blog, is an old water taxi called the "Steel Maid". Rusticity

This is a compilation piece with characters from all over. Rusticity means being rustic or rural, it does not mean "being rusted". Click on this painting to blow it up or enlarge it even- then you can actually see it.

Chevy Truck From Tunnel Hill

B.J.Wright of Tunnel Hill, Georgia sent me some photos, this is a quick sketch. Thanks, B.J.!
The far fender is loose and the headlight has been pushed up by the board-thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
