I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

I wonder what the new cars of today are going to look like when they get old. I mean the ones with a bunch of plastic...
I love how you do your windows. being able to see in the car or when you have the strong light glare off the window.
Thanks N.N., windows are fun to do, for years they were a mystery, but now I just do'em.
This one's got some funky flow to it. I like the on missing its hind quarters.
Fantastic as always! I think...we think...in piles! Love it.
Thanks Grimm, I hadn't seen this one for 4 years and I was happy with the rich colour and as yuou say "the flow".
Thanks Madison, its the 12th version of this drawing and one I hadn't seen in a while and it was fun to see again.
We Were Young Artists Once...
Ron - I can see why you love this one. I always enjoy the flow of color in your work but its extra nice in this one -
Thanks Cara, its fun to see an older painting, it was adopted four years ago.
interesting use of the dominant violet. ties the collection together and then you harmonize the grass by washing in the same color. good strategy mr. for another well crafted work.
Thanks W.K., violets are amongst my fave colours but they can get unruly and unco-operative if not mixed right.
