I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Nice granulation - you really see it on the magnified view. I also like the cool - warm - cool rhythm going in the composition. Drawing is solid as usual and the car coloring makes it glow.
this is awesome! The colors, the visor, headlights...everythine. It looks great!
Looking just perfect for a restoration! Not much body work involved. Might even use the original glass. And that sun visor - perfect! Your colors are just wonderful in this one. Great work!
Thanks W.K. I'm a fan of granulation.
Thanks N.N., glad you like it!
Thanks B.J., do you know anybody that does that kind of work?
Looks like he's wearing one of those little referee caps.
Wonderful colors in this! Why didn't they continue putting sun visors on cars? I think it was a great idea. Nice job, Ron.
Very colorful. You have mastered the ominous looking sky.
Thanks Grimm, thats terrific!
Thanks Joan, they are fun to paint.
Thanks Michelle, puppy arrives next weekend.
Yes, the hubby might add it to his long list of 'to do's.
I always enjoy your interpretation of all the classics - and they are all classics. I love every dented piece of chrome and every rust-eaten fender.
Thanks B.J. They are fun to paint and make up.
