I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

three old friends... enjoying a day out in the sun. I like the green tinting on the right car's trunk. I helps to clarify the form.

Ha, cattle ranch. They do look like they're grazing just a bit. Apparently all your cars are animals to me, lately.
It looks like the buildings and vehicles have formed a pact. Huddled close like they have each others back :p

Thanks Grimm, "Cadillac Ranch", there is a farm down island with a bunch of Caddies and Buicks and Olds from the fifties-I borrowed a couple of characters.
