I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Ron - I don't think you need to explain yourself. Paint what you like to paint. If people like it, great. If not, who cares?
Another nice, colorful painting.
Hey Ron, What a great stack of cars you have there. Going to Rod Run at the end of the world (Long Beach peninsula today) What a great collection of cars--You would really love it.
Looks like they all got together to compare notes - or paint jobs - or war stories - or scars. Whatever the reason for this scene, great colors and eye for details.
Your compositions are great. I always enjoy finding things the second time I look at it that I didn't notice the first time :)
I like the way you have directed the viewer up towards the sky. The metal conveyances pointing - indicating the house. From the roof to the sky - a great ride.
Yes you are right, Michelle- on a more fun note, Doggy portraits?
Hi Michele, missed you.
Thanks B.J., I think they are going to attack the house.
Thanks N.N., I have painted this scene a dozen times.
Thanks W.K., Thats the trip I had planned. Glad you caught it.
Wonderful classic lines in the cars, set amid a beautiful backdrop. Super!
I need to make the time. I've got plenty of models. :)
Thanks Joan,Its fun to create the scene.
I figured you might, being world's best doggie painter.
They're like big metal salmon, trying to find "upstream"...
They are, Grimm.
Well I could just keep commenting and get nothing done today. But...this is one of my favorites...
