I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Lookin' good! Are ya done...or is there more to do? Looks done to me..but what do I know?
Hey..I got tagged by Michelle Himes, so I'm gonna tag you, cause I don't have many connections here yet...so now you have to post 5 things about yourself that people don't know...and then you have to tag 5 people, and so on, and so on...if ya want.
Hi Tracy, no not finished yet...
This is growing in color before my very eyes!!! It is so interesting to watch your changes.
Thanks Joan, they are fun to develop. The irony is that I paint so conservatively to avoid screw ups that I think it would be better to just let'er rip.
It's looking very nice, Ron. I like seeing the progression of your painting.
Coming into focus. That guy ever drive a Focus? No? oh....
Thanks Michelle. These commissions are good to do because you have to buckle down and do what someone else wants, but it is my idea. What I find hardest is what should be easy- doing the last few details, seems to take forever.
Hey W.K, I think its almost done...done...done like dinner.
awww, I think my monitor cleared up a bit!
Yes thats it N.N., your monitor cleared up...
:p heeee. Hope you're having a great Christmas!
Hi N.N., everybody's drunk, nobody hurt yet...same to you! (not the drunk part, Merry Christmas). Actually everybody's watching the Gene marathon, very Chrismassy...
A merry one to you Ron.
Thanks Bill, backatcha! I better get down to business in the new year...
Where are you, Ron? Working hard?
Hi Michelle, not exactly, I have two more commissions to do (small ones)so I better get cracking. Happy New Year!
Very interesting to see these progress, obviously. Happy new year to you, Ron, see you in it some time. I had to go east to Mordor to visit Sauron and my wife's family for the holiday and am happy to be back.
Hi Clive, Happy New Year to you. See you when I see you.
So...ah...ya still nursing that New Year's hangover or what? When do we get to see the finished masterpiece?
Hope all is pleasant your way.
Hi Tracy, Its on the wall down in Victoria and so far nobody wants their money back.
Ah...lovely. That's a good way to start the year.
