I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

What a neat concept. This turned out very nice. Is that a Dodge Dart there in front?
Glad to see you posting, I was starting to wonder where you were.
Hi Michelle, Itsa Duster 1976 version.
It is a commission pre study to work out positioning and scale. The customer liked the thing so I just have to change a couple of details and paint the final version. I have to paint it it with a certain degree of accuracy and they are a lot of work to compose but its good practice.
I figured you must be out searching for "oldies." I'm sure we all missed seeing your posts. This is a great composition. Can't wait to see the final version.
Thanks Joan, I searched the internet for these subjects as this had to have seven cars of specific years and models in just the right positions.
Ron - I love the idea behind this painting...
Thanks Cara, it is a fun idea!
glad to see you back in action ron. this one would be a great set for a dukes of hazard movie. the dukes cook'n up some shine and running it over the border. can see it now...
