I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Hey there! Delicious as always. Ya know what would be super cool? Step by step pics of you doing the demo. I for one would love to see your process...but that's just me...
Thanks Tracy,will consider.
Very nice. Love all the colors.
Ron, I was wondering where you went off to...maybe taking a long drive in one of these cars? I agree with Tracy. It would be great to see a step-by-step demo in pictures. I love the colors in this and the varied color reflections on the body of the car. You are sooooooooo good at that!
Thanks Michelle, fun with the paint and trying to make it work.
Thanks Joan, it was an exercise in doing something I was previously too lazy or shy or self conscious to do.
Good to see the new work Ron. I like the strong horizontal lines of the clouds. Echoed in the mountains etc. I'm sure doodles was happy to have your step-by- step magic revealed. The car as usual has the special Ron touch.
Thanks W.K. its fun to actually do something with a step by step procedure, then you can go, "Aha I see where it all went wrong...right there at the beginning."
I like all the colors in the car. I'm expecially drawn to where the headlights used to be. Reminds me of zombies--got dead things on the brain lately!
Grimm, howzit goin? I will visit..
You already know I'm loving this - lots of green - my favorite. But what I really like is the way the fender seems to be ripped. Very cool!
Hi Cara, everythings green around here now...
Hey Ron, nice; I particularly like the colours and treatment of the tree line and hills behind. What is Paint Doodles? Is it on-line? Can you link to it?
Thanks Clive, its an English site for beginners just bink Paint Doodles.
ahh refreshing to see new stuff. I always like how you mix the colors. WHere you dont even notice it until you really look.
Thanks N.N. while I'm painting I don't always notice the colours, only after its finished do I actually see them.
Nice work!
Thanks, Ed. I will visit.
Ron: This is one of my favorites. I like the colors in the car; but especially I like how the sky really sets the mood for this painting. Do you know the model and make of this car?
