I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

I like the drybrush effect on the roof...very texturey. We like your boats almost as much as your cars...('we' being my son and I...he thinks your cars are cool).

I think this is my favorite of your boat paintings. Composition is strong, drawing tight, colors clean. That's a solid foundation for an excellent painting.
This one is nice, too. I particularly like the sunny, yet hazy atmosphere in the background.

Thanks N.N., there are a few boats beached around here. I think what Tracy was saying was that she used to live around here and she misses the seagulls. There are two 1/2 in the painting.

I love how you used shadow and light to bring out the mood and atmosphere in the picture.
