I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

I should doodle so well....
I need lessons- maybe Milford can help.
Not only are you modestly talented, but you're quite mediocre- lessons won't help.
Mr. Acornes - mind youself!
He's just mad cuz the dogs were playing fetch with his wooden leg.
I hate it when that happens-
Ron.. I like the rustic look to this. Solid composition and a restrained sprinkling of iron... oh oh.. mind going back to Tacoma... ahh... ok.. I'm back. I can imagine the smell of bacon and eggs cooking and Milford whittling on his leg.. carving the day's shopping list. Acornes can't remember where he left the car keys from the night before so he's going to have to hoof it.
Thanks, W.K., Milford doesn't drive any more...thats not 100% true, he drives us crazy.
I'm feeling a little rustic myself, an' the composition ain't so solid.
This one seems particularly fresh and loose, I like it.
Thanks, Clive.
Looks like the orange truck is whispering to the red truck about the car. What could he be saying? "Psst...check out those fins. Do you think they're real?"
Anthropomorphism again- I thought the pickup was going to eat the Jeep. Thanks, Michelle.
carvings on Milford's wooden leg. you guys are mean. great doodle, that Milford's cool..."born on a hard luck day."
Not me, I let the old buzzard sleep under the stairs.
