I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

The grass looks trippy, like the car is just floating in the earth.
Thanks, Grim, it is one of my grass floaters, its old painting, I sink'em more now.
Ron - I really like this dark version. You know what was really cool that I would have missed if I hadn't enlarged the picture? The tear in the front of the hood and the shadow of the hood ornament on the left side if the hood. I love these two details
Thanks, Cara, Blow it up, its a blast.
Dark is good. Nice reflection on the door.
Through the night darkly came the spectre, the ghost of the old Chev, floating, floating, evermore...yikes! I've scared myself again. Thanks, Michelle.
I like the way the colors mix together.
Thanks, Newnorth when were you in Vancouver?
I think it was March of 2006. It was for school...soo much fun!
I instantly recognized the alley in the picture on your blog as Vancouver.
