I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

This car really pops out of the frame.. cool visual. Sky color against car harmonizes and defines the form nicely.. Again subdued hues which works effectively to create this majestic iron pose. A mighty work and one of your week's finest (mi opinion).
Thanks, W.K., its out of gas just like me.
This might be one of my favorites. Great shadows and light. Nice angle.
This car looks really festive, or fun. It's the car all the other cars want to come with them when cyphoning, 'cause he's so craaazy.
Thanks, Michele, The shape of this car and the shadows have always intrigued me.
Thanks, Grimm, they do seem to have personalities.
From this monitor (not my computer) the colors look very intense. Hard to say because Bill is saying the colors are subdued so I don't really know what I'm looking at. But I do know I like the shape of the car...another great solo mini. Boy, it might be cool to display all these solo minis in a film strip. How about giving us a little slide show? I think it's overdue. (photobucket is free) whaddayasay?
Colours are intense. Thanks, Michele, photobucket a good idea.
Ron - Been out of town for a couple of days and returned to find this post. LOVE IT!
I agree with Michele - I would love to see a photobucket.
I'm on it.
