Like the movement the birds bring to the composition. Can't be sad looking at this piece.

Thanks, W.K. Where did Kee go?

Love the movement of the birds. We have 2 sets of bald eagles making nests out in the river on some sort of look out poles and now a pair of huge falcons building a nest on the same types of structure. If I had a car I'd get out there & photo them with my long lens. just awesome.

wow there are a lot of birds in this one. I counted 10 (yeah I can count!)

I like the two cars too ;)

If you go way back, N.N. you can see a different improved(?) version. This was the pre-study for the pre-study. Someday I'll do the final version and then I'll probably do it again.

Oh I see them. Feb 25th and 26th. Thanks for telling me. It's cool to see how the colors really change it!

There's always something peaceful to me about seeing long-dead boats resting within idyllic beauty.

Hey, had to come to your site to see your art. Your post on Marketplace yesterday didn't have an image and then it vanished completely! What happened?
Love this piece. Great work. Peggy

Interesting study here but I warned you about feeding those birds....

Looked back at the finished version - wonderful - I like the darker water.

Thanks, Michelle, I guess thats a benefit of making this silliness up. The scene can be idyllic, sort of. But scenes like this exist in one form or another up an down the coast.

Seagulls are everywhere including the drive-in restaurant. I like seagulls they are the "everybird" on the coast.

Ron Morrison said...

Oh lovely, seagulls and rusted things. Why don't you paint something nice, no wonder you didn't get tagged, nobody likes your paintings.

Holt on there, Uncle, nephew is great painter of rusty remnants of glorious American automobiles of bygone era. Got nice room in Gulag for you, Uncle. No more abuses to nephew or you answer to me.
