I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Thanks, Grimm, when I find these things the wheels are almost always gone. So I decided early on in the program that they would be mostly wheeless in my paintings.

I really like the back window on this one...the missing window and the piece falling apart. Nice colors too!
Yeah, a lot of the wrecks I've seen are laying on their bellies, too.
It gives them a bit of a disabled vet look.

Nice touch with the bent chrome glistening in the sun. Droopy headliner shows you pay attention to interior details. Yet another nice one.

Well now that you've called it to my attention - yes, there it is! Thought it looked familiar. Of course, I see LOTS of cars and after awhile they all run together.

B.J., I went to school with a guy named Hugh Moore, he was small so we called him a little Hugh Moore. I'm making this up but do you think there is a Hugh Moore somewhere?

I did, there's lots of them and some of them are apparently humourists.
