I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

I like the "sinking feeling one" & the tow truck 2. It's cool when you toy with our focus & perception.
Is it stormy in the "Over the Hill Gang"? I just ask because it's darker, and the grass looks billowy.
Thanks Grimm, dramatic lighting, summer storm, wind coming up.
Just stopping by. Nice painting. Cool sky.
I like the colors. It feels cool. ...I'm used to looking at cars at night, no melting sun and no salesman :D
cars are more fun then anyway.
First time I ever saw a pile of junk look so great!
Thanks Michelle, thanks for stopping by.
Thanks N.N. It is cool, its stormee.
Thanks Madison, but of course to me its not junk because I'm mental.
No matter how dark there is always a ray of sunshine - right?
Around here its darkest before it rains and the flowers need it, speaking of which there's new stuff.
I like the continuation of the moody atmosphere carried over from your last post. Pretty cool treatment of the horizon line high up on the frame. Yesterday Kingian today Hitchcockian..
Thanks W.K. I really would like to actually break the surly bonds of mediocrity and start to paint.
I admire your dedication. I don't think they're mediocre at all, but a sign that you have something else to bring out.
When I visited England I remarked that even their 'junk' was beautiful, seeing it, of course, through a painter's eye.
Thanks Mary, It was just a thought about getting better.
