I started painting with watercolours in 1976 with a set of pans that I had left over from high school. I've always loved the shapes and colours of old vehicles as they settle in for the long rust. I especially enjoy creating scenes using characters I have collected over the years. These paintings are from my imagination. Check out the sales blog under "Links and Friends".

Great value study here from top to bottom. I like the sun spot on the back windshield - like a musical note. Nice melody this one.
I really like this one. It has so many details you would really expect to see in the car. (like the different color panels and the doors)
I also like how it seems to be teeetering there. (I cant spell that word but I think you can tell the word I am trying for)
Thanks W.K. its a encore retread, one of the few times I have just copied a photograph.
Thanks N.N. its realistic on account of me just copying a photo.
Ron - you know I love this one.
but you still saw all of the details and even took the time to include them... You knew what to include :D
Nice crisp lines! It looks like the pickup is trying to eat the car.
Thanks Cara, glad you like it.
Thanks N.N., I appreciate you saying so.
Thanks Grimm, All the times I've looked at this pic I never thought of that but it does.
This is a really nice one. Have we seen it before? It looks familiar.

Wheels. I see wheels and tires. And that sun glint on the back glass - nice. Reminds me of a hot day at the salvage yard looking for that elusive bit of chrome.
B.J., that is it, thats how all this started.
Truly one of your finest IMO
This one looks like it's sitting on top of the world. Great colors and composition on this.
Thanks Joan, this is one of the few times I used a photograph for the composition.
