In the Grove

I found this car down the road. I painted a picture of it and put some trees in for a little releaf. look into it by clicking.

I really like this one. It has so much character. Another one where I see a face, like the car is peaking at me from the corner of it's eyes :)
but even without that it just looks good!

The trees do well to bring the car to the forefront of the shot.
By the way, I did see some old trucks during our trip, plus 2 junkyards, but we didn't get any shots, sorry!
I am planning on revisiting a friend's uncle's farmstead sometime this summer, though, so I'll kep my camera ready.

I love the personality of this car. I agree with newnorth on the peeking aspect. Colors are great too.

Another nice painting.

Great work Ron! Love those background pines and they are a nice supporting cast for the main star. Coloring on the car is particularly well crafted. Hitting on all 8!

Thanks Cara, now you tell me, your stuff is gone and when your stuff is gone, you know what that means. No more stuff.

Wow! There's so much to like here! The composition, all that cool green-ness, the way you make our eyes see a deep evergreen forest where there are really just a few of your sure and simple brushstrokes, and of course, that aforementioned anthropomorphism! It is a guiding principle of mine as well, although I sometimes think of it as a mild form of insanity:~)

Thanks, Sandy.

Thanks Liz, there are a lot of people who share the anthro interpretation of things judging by the number of comments about faces and eyes.
